Troubleshooting Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Water Damage

There are a few things you can do before bringing your device to a professional repair team. Below are some Do’s and Don’ts for troubleshooting a liquid-damaged Galaxy Note 8:

If your Galaxy Note 8 has experienced water damage, do:

  • Remove the sim card, memory card, and anything else that might be plugged into the device.
  • Dry gently with an absorbent towel.

If your Galaxy Note 8 has experienced water damage, don’t:

  • Don’t push any buttons! This could force water further into the circuits.
  • Don’t use a hairdryer on the phone – this could also push water into the phone and do further damage.
  • Don’t turn the phone on too soon. It is best to wait 24 hours before attempting to turn your phone back on.

Ooops! Had an issue with this store 2 days ago, my apologies to Joseph whom I thought was rude and disrespectful, it was actually the manager Lante. I did speak to Lante this morning and we resolved my issue…the over charge dropped off my bank account like he said, ( 2-3 business days) I misunderstood and thought it would take 2-3 billing cycles, so I was at fault also. All is good! Happy customer :)

Desktop PC power supply got cooked in a power surge. They ordered the part and replaced it/rewired everything. Good turnaround time, good communication, all around professional service. Reasonable price for the labor involved.
