Troubleshooting Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Battery
Before you bring your Samsung Galaxy Note 5 into a CPR shop for repair, there are a few things that you can try to improve your battery performance:
- Low Power Mode
To reduce the power consumption, turn your Galaxy Note 5 on Power Saver Mode by going to Apps > Settings > Battery and selecting the mode.
- Airplane Mode
If you don’t need access to data or need to receive or make calls, you can set your Galaxy Note 5 to airplane mode by swiping the status bar down from the home screen. The Quick Settings menu will appear. From there, toggle Airplane mode on.
- Screen Brightness
One of the Galaxy Note 5 biggest power wastes comes from the brightness of your screen. To decrease brightness, simply open the Notification Panel and adjust the display brightness bar which can be found under the Quick Settings shortcuts.

Update for most recent visit - July 2023 - Staff very responsive and professional. USB charging port on a Moto G7 Power replaced. Some technical issue after repair caused a return visit. Tech immediately assisted and helped troubleshoot and resolve issue. ---------- My son had his iPhone repaired here and that went well. I tried to get a MicroUSB charging port replaced on a Motorola, paid up front and the parts have never arrived (pre-COVID19). Spoke with staff on site when I brought in another phone for water damage. That phone is still in the shop for repairs 4 weeks+later. Battery replacement went fine, but charging port didn't work after battery replacement. Staff has been professional, but overall service quality / accountability is lacking.
